Shannon Day Care Society is a play-based center that incorporates several different educational teaching methods. Our learning centers will enable your child to develop emotionally, socially, physically, cognitively and creatively by providing opportunities for your child to explore, manipulate and experiment with the various learning environments. Shannon Daycare activities are planned to emphasize the process rather than the product with play as the primary activity through which young children will organize their experiences and develop their whole selves. There will be a balance of individual and social experiences provided for the child to gain confidence and complete tasks in cooperation with other children and adults. Our programs offer multicultural non-sexist content as we believe in gender equality and promote respect for different races and cultures of the children and their families.

At Shannon Day Care, we treat each child as an individual and create our program activities so that every child can work at their own pace. We teach a love of learning by encouraging young children to experience their own stage of development and helping them to feel successful without any pressure.

We encourage you to share information with us that may be useful to us when working with your child. Together we can maintain an open door communication and create a positive first school experience for your child.
